In and Out of Ph(r)ase
Sound Installation
In and Out of Ph(r)ase is an interactive sound installation that explores the construction of phrases through random words based on categories (nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs). A MIDI controller is placed in the middle of a 22.2 speaker array, allowing the listener to control the rate at which words from a category are produced (e.g. nouns every 2 seconds) and which speaker(s) they come from (e.g. every 3rd speaker). Written in the ChucK programming language.
