Gregg Oliva is a musician and engineer currently pursuing a master’s degree at the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA) at Stanford University. In 2019, he graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and a minor in Music. After graduation, he worked as a software engineer specializing in cloud and data infrastructure before ultimately leaving in 2023 to focus his efforts on music.

Gregg’s interests span electronic composition, digital instrument design, interactive systems and games, modular synthesis, and microtonality. He enjoys creating expressive musical tools and extracting unlistenable sounds from his Eurorack. He has an obsession with all things analog and is frequently dreaming about new gear he can’t afford. He also plays guitar, piano, and pretends to play bass.

In his free time, Gregg enjoys cooking, making bitter cocktails, playing video games, and watching stand-up comedy.
