Tuning Visualizer

ChucKTune is a program designed to explore and compose with non-standard tunings, such as microtones and non-equal temperaments, in an approachable and colorful way. The user can select from pre-loaded tunings (including Pythagorean, 7EDO, 19EDO, 31EDO, and more) or load their own tuning files. A selected tuning is mapped to the computer keyboard in an isomorphic layout, which preserves the interval shape across keys. The user can select between multiple modes for visualizing, including note and interval identification. Chords can be “frozen” for closer examination, and two different tunings can be tracked at the same time, allowing the user to compare the cent differences between intervals. Developed in the ChucK programming language.
