Four Parts for Two Hands

Live Electronics | Eurorack + Lumatone

Program Notes

Four Parts for Two Hands is a duet with a past self. This former version of me is performing on the left side of the video, where both the top-down camera view and the played MIDI notes were recorded. During the live performance, a real-time view of my current self is superimposed over this video, allowing me to complete the piece. The MIDI data from the past session and the notes I play live are both routed through a modular synthesizer, producing all sound in real time. Nothing in the video itself produces sound; everything you hear occurs live during the performance.
